Greetings!

My name's Nikai and I am the author of the Sarana Series and To Kill the Chosen One. 

My writing journey began long ago when I was a kid. I loved creating stories and acting them out using a paper tube as a sword and a pillow for a shield. I started typing some of these stories out on a page. They were all one page stories with 24 sized Comic-Sans font and I never named any of the characters. I just called them "the hero", "the villain", "the best friend" and so on. 

As my passion for writing grew, so did my stories. I eventually wrote a full feature-length script in 6th grade (with character names, I promise!). When people would ask me if I would ever write a novel, I replied I wasn't interested. 

In 8th grade, I wrote a play called "Loser!" that I received funding for to put on in front of the entire school. I produced, directed and made all the sets. 

Throughout high school and college, I kept writing scripts, placing in different competitions. Some scripts reached the top 3% of all scripts submitted. I remember telling my sister that and she responded by saying I should write YA fiction. I refuted the idea again, believing I could never get through writing a whole book. 

Then an idea struck and it was too big for a feature screenplay. So, I wrote one chapter and realized I liked it. Every day after, I wrote a little more until it became a whole book. 

Now I can't stop writing! I'm constantly working on the next book, with several other projects publishing soon!
